Lot consists of: (A) Remington Model 03-A3 bolt action rifle. Made October of 1943. Remington production, 2 groove barrel marked "R / (Flaming bomb) / 8-43". Blade front sight with "R" marked base. Rear sight is unmarked. Bolt assembly is marked "H", but the firing assembly, safety and magazine cutoff are all marked "R". Trigger guard looks to be Smith Corona production. Metal components retain their original parkerized finish. Oil finished straight grip walnut stock. Crisp boxed "FJA" on the left side of the stock. Smooth metal butt plate with trap door. No cleaning kit in the butt stock. Butt plate has a rack number of "47" over an "R". Includes attached, unmarked military style leather sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with some light wear. Wood has numerous dings, scratches and gouges, but is solid overall. Bore is strong with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Sling is dried out with crazing, fair overall. (B) Japanese Nagoya Type 99 Last Ditch bolt action rifle. Series 10 rifle made sometime in 1944-45. Crisp chrysanthemum on the chamber. Blade front sight with non adjustable rear. Matching serial numbers, (240), on the receiver, bolt, extractor, safety knob, and firing pin. Late war finish with some areas left rough. 2 piece wood stock with late war wood butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains some of its original finish with areas of heavy wear. Wood has a later applied lacquered finish with handling marks and wear. Bore is frosted, retaining little rifling. Mechanically fine. (C) Italian 1891 Calvary carbine. Made 1938. Brescia production stamped, "38-XVI" stamped on the chamber. Carbine sight, ranging to 1500 meters. Original folding bayonet assembly on the barrel. No visible import mark. Neither bolt nor stock are numbered. Lightly finished wood stock with metal trap door butt plate. Includes attached generic leather sling. CONDITION: Metal retains some of its original black paint finish with some wear and patina. Butt plate has a light paint finish. Stock has some handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean, retaining sharp rifling. Muzzle has been counter bored. Sling has wear. Mechanically fine. JWA
