High quality unmarked percussion target rifle made circa 1860. Full octagon rifled barrel drilled for and fitted with a false muzzle and flip down globe front sight with no rear sight provision except gunsmith made adjustable tang sight. Patent breech percussion ignition system with internal percussion action controlled by an adjustable single trigger. Gun has unique takedown feature making for easy storage. Walnut plain stock with brass furniture. Interesting piece. CONDITION: Metal turning a silvery patina with some light surface corrosion. Action still has polished look with some small discoloration marks. Wood has been cleaned with finish added over handling marks and dings. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
