Henry Hillegas flint lock heavy barreled target rifle made by Hillegas in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania between 1840 and 1883. Full octagon rifled barrel measuring 1 - 1/2" across barrel flats with globe front sight, rear notch sight with gunsmith made extended adjustable iron peep sight, and stamped "H. Hillegas" on top barrel flat. Flint lock marked "Jos. Golcher" with reshoed frizzen and controlled by double set triggers. Walnut full stock with brass furniture made with flat across forestock and flared area near muzzle for cross rest. Comes with hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with metal having light surface corrosion. Brass has dark patina. Wood has some damage near toe and small repair on left side of barrel tang with usage scratches and dings. Dark but shootable bore with functioning mechanics and weighing over 25lbs. DLM
