Rare Ansley H. Fox "Sterlingworth Trap" side by side shotgun made by the A.H. Fox Gun Company, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1928. Blued special order 32" "Sterlingworth Fluid Compressed Steel" barrels with twin Lyman bead sights and special ordered with Full and Modified choke instead of standard Full and Full. This gun was marketed as the "Sterlingworth Trap". Barrels marked "2"on each barrel in front of barrel flats. Gun comes with extractors and double triggers. Case hardened frame with typical "Sterlingworth" line engraving and "Sterlingworth" on each side of the action. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with bakelite grip cap and buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with friction release. CONDITION: Near mint original blue with engine turn still remaining on chambers. Near mint vivid case colors with phenomenal screws. 90% plus varnish with some flaking near buttplate with some light handling marks. Excellent bores and mechanics. A hard gun to find in near mint condition. DLM
