A rare oak lamp base by famed French designer Jean-Michel Frank (1893-1941). Frank was one of the most influential designers of the 1930’s. The oak lamp features an X-shaped design, with a single socket emanating from the center of the top panel (refer to auction pictures to view socket type). The lamp stands 7 - 3/4” tall to the top wood panel and 11 - 1/4” to the top of the socket. The lamp is in very good condition, with no cracks, breaks or chips to the wood, and with some minor scratches commensurate with age. Signed to the underside, “J.M. Frank” and “Chanaux & Co”.
