A beautiful example of a Linenfold counterbalance floor lamp by Tiffany Studios. The 10” diameter shade features the classic linenfold design. The tightly folded glass is a rich caramel color in reflected light, becoming a warm golden butterscotch in transmitted light. The shade is finished in the classic Tiffany verdigris patina. The 12 panel shade is in excellent condition with no cracks, missing or loose glass, or loss to the finish. Shade is signed "Tiffany Studios New York Pat. Appl’d For 1936". The shade is complemented by a fine example of a Tiffany Studios counterbalance floor base. The 5-footed base is finished in reddish-brown patina with verdigris highlights, matching that of the shade. The base currently measures 54” to the highest point, though the angle of the socket and socket arm is adjustable. The base is in excellent condition with adjustable components working properly, and no dents, breaks, repairs, or significant loss to patina. The is a single 1” long scratch at the top of one of the feet. The base appears to have its original socket with correct GECO paddle. Base is signed to underside of foot "Tiffany Studios New York 468".
