Beautiful Art Nouveau candlestick by Ernst Wahliss, part of the Teplitz school, early 20th century. A green fairy is draped against a candlestick with owl head. Candlestick is mauve with flecks of green, and terminates in a three-lobed base. Candlestick is 9” tall and in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, chips, or visible repairs. Underside stamped "Made in Austria" and with crown with initials EW inside crown. A similar example is illustrated in Monsters and Maidens: Collectors Edition, Vreeland, p. 458.
