Lot consists of: (A) Walther Model HP semi automatic pistol. Commercial forerunner of the military P.38 pistol. Most likely made pre-War for the commercial market, this pistol lacks any Waffenamts or military markings. Standard Walther banner on the left side of the slide, followed by "MOD HP". Import marked on the right side of the slide. Serial number on the right side of the frame and barrel are matching. Locking block matches the frame and barrel. Slide is numbered on the inside of the rail and is matching. Standard sights. Original lightly polished blued finish. Brown plastic serrated grips. Includes 1 post-War dark blued Walther marked magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with a gray patina forming in most areas. Grips have light finish wear. Bore is frosted with fair rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. (B) Spreewerke "cyq" code P.38 semi automatic pistol. Made circa 1943-44. "(Eagle) / 88" Waffenamts on the frame and slide. Barrel has an "(Eagle) / 135" proof. Import marked on the right side of the frame. Serials on the frame and slide match. Barrel and barrel block do not match the frame and slide, but match each other. Standard sights. Lightly polished metal components and dull military blued finish. Black plastic serrated grips. Includes one post-War dark blued Walther marked magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% of its original finish with wear and heavy patina. Grips have light finish wear. Bore is frosted with little to no rifling left. Magazine is excellent. JWA
