Lot consist of: (A) Chilean contract 1895 Mauser bolt action rifle. Made circa 1895-96 at the Ludwig Loewe plant in Berlin. Sharp Chilean crest on the chamber. This rifle looks to have been converted to 7.62x51 NATO, as "7.62/N" is stamped on the receiver bridge. Barrel has a SAMCO Global import mark under the barrel. This rifle looks to be completely mismatched. Standard blade front sight with rear sight adjustable to 2000 meters. Elevation slider is missing. Blued metal components with the bolt being left in the white. Unfinished wood stock with sharp "1895" dated cartouche on the left side of the butt. Includes correct leather sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with wear and handling marks. Wood has numerous dings, scratches, and gouges, but is solid. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. (B) Nazi German "dou 44" Code K98 Mauser bolt action rifle. Made 1944 at the Waffenfabrik Brunn plant. This rifle looks to be a Yugosalvian reworked rifle, noted by the mostly scrubbed Waffenamts and serial number added to the right side of the chamber area. Rifle has no visible import mark. Matching serials on the receiver and floor plate. Bolt and other components are mismatched or not numbered. Hooded front sight with standard tangent rear.
