Manufactured by Izhmash and imported by Kalashnikov USA, this Saiga 308-1 rifle is stamped with Russian arsenal proofs and importer markings on the left side of the receiver, with the model and caliber designations on the right. Matching numbers include the receiver, bolt, bolt carrier, and rear sight ladder. Furniture is comprised of walnut, and features a Monte Carlo pistol grip stock, with a smooth forearm. Forearm and buttstock feature bottom mounted sling swivels, with the buttstock also featuring a black rubber recoil pad. Standard AK style safety and trigger. Muzzle is not threaded and is not fitted with a muzzle device. Complete with a side mounted 4x24 scope that is marked "MADE IN RUSSIA" on the left side and one ten round magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their black matte finish, exhibiting few small areas of wear from handling and storage. Mirror bore, with sharp rifling throughout. Wood shows a few minor handling marks. Optic is clear. Rubber eye piece shows some age related cracking, but is otherwise good. A nice example of a desirable AK variant. -MLW-
