Remington Model 1858 Army percussion revolver, 107421. 8" .44 caliber octagonal barrel with cone front sight and notched rear. Marked on top barrel flat "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858" / "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEWYORK. U.S.A." / "NEW MODEL." 2 piece plain walnut grips with "O.W.A." (O.W. Aimsworth) cartouche in rectangle on left grip panel. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finish turned an even gray patina with traces of original bluing remaining, especially in protected areas. Scattered light to moderate handling and storage marks throughout. Grips are very good and original with no major signs of distress. Action works correctly and is tight. Bore is bright with sharp rifling and modest abrasion. -TN-
