The round barrel is stamped with Birmingham proofmarks on the left side of breech. The lock is stamped "H./ MEACHAM / &Co / WARRANTED" in the center and features a roller frizzen. Brass furniture includes an anchor-shaped escutcheon around the single lock screw, a brass trigger, and Lehigh style trigger guard terminating in an arrow finial. Plain brass pommel cap, American stocked in partially figured cherry. CONDITION: Lock and barrel retain an undisturbed brown patina, lock is in its original flintlock configuration and functions well. Brass retains a mellow mustard patina. Stock shows some horizontal age cracks along right side of forend. DMG
