Measures 1" across the mouth and approximately 1/3" at touch hole; other measurements are 3" diameter across top (not including handle) and 3 - 1/2" diameter across bottom. Of somewhat better cast quality than normally encountered with handle, flared mouth and flared base, giving the appearance of a mug that would be radically unsafe to drink out of. CONDITION: Very good, some flashes of bronze at high points where rubbed through a naturally acquired rich patina. Some normal casting flaws throughout. A light shines through touch hole well. EW
EARLY 17TH OR 18TH CENTURY BRONZE SIGNAL MORTAR OF SPANISH FORM.
