Russian SVT-40 semi automatic rifle. Dated "1943" with Tula arsenal proofs. "CDI" import marked on the right side of the frame. Serial number on the chamber, stock and bolt all match (bolt serial number was electropenciled). Magazine does not match. Post front sight with tangent rear adjustable to 1500 meters. Arsenal refinished, most likely in the 1950s. Stock has been sanded and is stamped "1940" with a Tula Arsenal star. Metal buttplate. No cleaning rod. Includes standard Mosin Nagant dog collar sling. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its arsenal reapplied finish with light wear. Stock has been sanded with light handling marks and scratches. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically excellent. Magazine has wear. Sling is excellent. JWA
