This is a unique collection of 150+ USMC lighters. About 1/4 of the collection is modern USMC related lighters. The rest of the collection are distinctive Vietnam War lighters. The subject matter of the lighters is quite interesting, they range from geographical locations, to units, to phrases. Some of the phrases are quite humorous as some lighters are inscribed with sayings like "Always ripped or always stoned I made it a year I'm going home" and "When I die bury me face down so the whole world can kiss my ass goodbye". Others are more philosophical and read "One has never lived till he has almost died life has a flavor the protected will never know". The more interesting lighters are inscribed with somewhat vulgar phrases that are probably not suitable for our catalog. This is a great collection that sheds light on the more personal side of the Vietnam War and probably took a lot of time to accumulate. CONDITION: Good-Excellent, most lighters display wear that are as to be expected of objects that were carried in country. JD
