Lot consists of: (A) Springfield Model 1898 Krag bolt action magazine rifle made at Springfield Armory in 1899. Blued tapered rifled barrel with integral pinned blade front sight and flip graduated rear sight. Blued action marked "U.S. / Springfield Armory" and "Model 1898". Walnut full military finger groove stock marked with "JSA / 1900" cartouche with "P" in circle behind tang. Stock has stencil marking of "47 N.Y. 1 16". CONDITION: 60% original finish with areas of pitting and blemishes from poor storage. Good bore with sticky mechanics. (B) Springfield Model 1898 Krag bolt action magazine rifle made at Springfield Armory in 1901. Blued round tapered rifled barrel with integral pinned front sight with correct rear military sight. Blued action with correct markings. Walnut full military finger stock with illegible cartouche. CONDITION: 40% original finish with some pitting and poor storage blemishes. Wood has been cleaned with handling marks and dings. Dark bore full of cosmoline with sticky mechanics. DLM
