Fine and matching Series 22 Type 99 rifle manufactured at the Kokura arsenal. Receiver retains its chrysanthemum and is marked with the series 22 character on the left side followed by the serial number and Kokura's manufacturer marking. Matching numbers include the receiver, dust cover, bolt, firing pin, and forward barrel band. Extractor is not marked. Monopod is present, and rifle is accompanied by an original canvas "hook connector" sling. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original blue finish, exhibiting a few minor areas of wear. Mirror chrome lined bore with fine rifling thoughout. Stock shows scattered handling marks as well as a few minor losses. A fine and clean example of a Kokura manufactured Type 99 rifle that was manufactured during history's greatest conflict. -MLW-
