Made at Maubeuge as per engraving on lock. Spring loaded front band with 2 straps across barrel, iron trumpet head ramrod. Brass pan. Iron furniture with some replaced screws. Dated 1811 on left side of breech and IIC on top of breech. Frizzen screw is too short and stripped, easily falling off. CONDITION: Fair. Metal parts with a pleasing brown patina throughout. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore with some pitting throughout. Stock has some chipping and marks of use throughout. Frizzen screw could be replaced to hold better. EW
