World War II Mauser Model 98K German battle rifle with "bcd 4" code indicating manufacture at Gustloff-Werke in Weimar, Germany in 1944. Round late style rough finished rifled barrel serial numbered "2615t" with correct Waffenampts. Banded blade front sight with unmarked correct rear sight. Late style phosphate finished action marked "bcd4" on the bridge with all matching original bolt. Late style cupped buttplate laminated wood full military stock with late style stamped trigger guard marked with "byf" code. Late style unnumbered stamped hardware with stock having Waffenampts but are illegible. Top wood and barrel channel are unnumbered. Missing original ramrod but comes with original style leather sling. Gun appears to be a bringback and has no import or Russian capture marks. CONDITION: 80% fading original military finish with some usage dings and marks and light surface pitting on some metal parts. Good bore and mechanics and a nice example. DLM
