Modern production of the venerable Mauser 98 bolt action. Sleeved on front sight island with brass tipped bead front sight and silver express line rear sight. Sling sleeved on with sling swivel. Barrel shank with Original Mauser logo laser etched, right side, just at the stock line, the German proofs for Ulm proofing in 2017. Both receiver rings are drilled and tapped for a scope mount, currently filled by filler screws. Three-position wing safety. Pistol grip stock of a well figured and lightly fiddled walnut, with press checkering and a darkwood cap. Metal parts are black plasma nitrided, bolt is in the white. Accompanied by a generic black hardcase with gun sock. Import marked for Mauser at ejection port. CONDITION: Excellent, showing only a few very minor marks from handling and operation, likely shop wear, and most visible in the checkering where a few heads are abraded. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent. Case is fine. EW
