Side by side A. H. Fox "A" Grade shotgun built by Ansley H. Fox Gun Company in the first year of production as the A.H. Fox Gun Company, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1907. Blued "Krupp Steel" barrels with twin bead sights, matted rib, and extractors. Case hardened boxlock action with fine line "A" Grade style engraving with both sides marked "Ansley H. Fox". Double triggers with automatic safety. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock with original bakelite buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter type forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 80% of a total reblue remaining on barrels, forearm latch, and trigger guard. Action polished to a silvery finish with some light pitting. Wood has traces of original finish with light handling marks and dings. Some dings in carry area of forearm. Barrels have had a repair on forearm lug and rib with some solder missing at end of barrels (barrels ring nicely and are solid). Gun locks up tight with some wear at hinge when gun is open. Good bores and mechanics and would make a great shooter or restoration project. DLM
