J. Stevens Arms and Tool Company Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts Model "40" Bicycle Rifle made from 1896 to 1916. Blued 18" round rifled barrel with dovetailed hooded front sight and rear graduated flip rear sight. Nickel plated receiver with blued hammer and trigger. Walnut grips with matching serial numbered skeleton steel nickel plated detachable stock. Comes in original leather flap holster. CONDITION: 50% fading blue with 70% remaining nickel finish with some light surface pitting. Traces of original varnish on grips. Leather holster exhibits some cracking and strap is torn with some light discoloration. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
