Side by side Ithaca NID Model No. 2 Grade shotgun made by the Ithaca Gun Company in Ithaca, New York in 1940. Fluid Steel barrels with matted rib and bead front sight, and extractors. Barrels marked on flats with Ithaca choke codes "4" and "2" for Full and Modified. Case hardened boxlock frame with birds and scroll No. 2 style engraving. Gun has double triggers and automatic safety. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with black hard rubber grip cap and Ithaca logo marked hard rubber buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with friction release. CONDITION: 80% original barrel blue with some light freckling and areas worn silver by carry. Right barrel has been opened up to Cylinder choke. 40% case colors with most in protected areas. Stock has been cleaned with some light handling marks and an added coat of light oil. Good bores and mechanics. A nice NID gun. DLM
