Tokyo Juki Kogyo Arsenal Japanese Type 99 bolt action rifle with bayonet, ammo and accessories. Series marking is illegible, but made early 1940s. No import mark found. Full chrysanthemum. Matching serials on the receiver and bolt/components. Standard front sight with rear sight with no anti aircraft wings. Original finish on the metal forming a nice patina in most areas. Stock has been duffle cut back to the rear band. Sling swivels are missing. Includes a Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho production Type 30 "Hooked Quillon" bayonet, with scabbard and frog. Bright finish on the blade. Also included are two ammunition tins, one containing a demilled Japanese Grenade, while the other contains Japanese 7.7 ammunition. Ammo looks to be Japanese production, with 45 rounds being on stripper clips. There are six loose rounds also in the tin that look to be reloads. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with patina forming in most areas in addition to areas of cleaned pitting. Wood has dings, scratches and dents. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically operable. Bayonet has some surface rust on the grip handle. There is some cleaned pitting on the scabbard. Leather frog has some wear. Grenade has some pitting. Ammo tins have some wear. Ammunitions and clips look to have been stored well. JWA
