1852 vintage Colt 1849 pocket percussion revolver, serial number 25991. 4" octagon barrel in .31 caliber with cone front sight, hammer notch rear, and 5 shot cylinder. Colt New York City barrel address. Matching serial numbers observed on butt, trigger guard, frame, cylinder, rammer and rear of 1 piece walnut grips (wedge is stuck in place so gun was not fully disassembled). CONDITION: Good with metal assemblies turned a spotty brown patina overall and about 80% remaining of what appears to be original silver plating on trigger guard and backstrap assemblies. Grips have some slight finish loss at bottom but do not show any major signs of distress. Action works appropriately and hammer is tight. Bore has some darkness in the grooves and heavy abrasion near center but retains visible rifling. TON
