Manufactured in 1879. This was Colt's first double action revolver. Blue and case hardened Sheriff's model with 1/2" German silver half moon front sight. 1 piece checkered Rosewood grips. Etched panel with 2 line address on top of the barrel and a 3 line patent on the left side of the frame. Gun works in both single and double action. CONDITION: Gun retains approximately 50% blue with the remainder turning to a pleasing patina. The case colors are present in the protected areas. Sharp checkering on the grips with a few handling marks. Good bore showing just a bit of frosting in the lands and grooves. REW
