Manufactured in 1903, this Colt Model 1878 Frontier revolver features blue finish, a 5 - 1/2" barrel, blade front sight, frame notched rear sights, lanyard loop, and is mounted with Colt 2 piece black plastic grips. The left side of the barrel is marked "32 W.C.F.", with Colt's 1 line address across the top. Rampant Colt within a circle logo is present on the left side of the frame. CONDITION: Metal components retain fair amounts of what appears to be their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and markings all around to the finish seemingly from over cleaning. Cylinder retains traces of its original finish, having been heavily cleaned at one point. Frame exhibits a few areas of cleaned oxidation beneath the grip panels. Trigger appears to be refinished or a replacement, as its condition is not en suite with the rest of the revolver. Bore is bright, exhibiting moderate amounts of oxidation and fair to good rifling throughout. Black plastic grips show some scattered nicks and minor losses. -MLW-
