Lot consists of (A) W. Bird marked halfstock percussion rifle. Only visible markings are "W.BIRD" on top of the barrel. Octagonal steel barrel with blade front sight and added peep rear sight that sits on the tang. Lock has some light scroll engraving. Brass patchbox, trigger guard, and butt plate. Copper inlay on the comb of the stock. Wooden ramrod. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish and has formed a gray patina in most areas with some cleaned pitting near the breech, hammer, and on the lock. Wood has a few handling marks, dings and scratches in addition to a crack above the lock. Bore is overall clean with good overall rifling. Will need work as the hammer will not stay locked when pulled back. (B) Marlin Model 39A lever action rifle with scope. Made 1957. Standard markings on the barrel including the caliber marked as "22 S. L. & L.R." and Micro Groove bore. Round rifled steel barrel with factory leaf sight and hooded blade front sight. Blued finish. Oil finished wood stocks with a "MARLIN" marked checkered plastic butt plate. Buttstock has been drilled for sling swivels and has an extra hole in front of the rear butt stock. Includes attached Weaver B4 scope and "22 TIP OFF MOUNT". CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with a few minor handling marks and scratches. Wood has some minor dings, scratches and dents. Bore is clean with sharp rifling. Mechanically fine. Scope has a light fog with a clear crosshair. JWA
