Lot consists of: (A) Springfield Model 1863 percussion rifled musket dated 1864. In the white finished rifled round barrel with integral pinned front sight and rear 2 leaf Model 1858 flip sight dated at rear "1864". Lock marked "1864" at rear with "(Eagle)" and "U.S. Springfield" with "(Eagle)" on bolster. Walnut full military stock with blued 3 barrel bands and "U.S." marked buttplate. Comes with ramrod and "U.S." marked socket style bayonet. CONDITION: Metal appears to have been cleaned at one point with some composite parts and replacement screws. Wood has aged finish with handling marks and dings. Good shootable bore with good mechanics. A great reenactor gun. (B) Belgian Flintlock smoothbore musket made circa 1820 very similar in construction to a French 1777. In the white round smoothbore barrel with bayonet lug under barrel. Barrel marked with Belgian proof and "JDV" at rear of barrel. Unmarked flint lock with brass pan and single trigger control. Fruitwood stock with brass hardware and steel buttplate. Comes with steel ramrod and socket style triangular buttplate. CONDITION: Metal has faded to a silvery patina with some surface discoloration and pitting. Brass has aged honey color. Stock has added coat of varnish with some worm holes. Pitted bore with functioning mechanics. DLM
