1959 vintage 2nd generation Colt Buntline Special Single Action Army Revolver, serial number 23621SA. 12" round barrel chambered in .45 Long Colt with single line barrel address and marked on the left side "COLT BUNTLINE SPECIAL .45". Custom embellished with engravings of animal heads on cylinder including a horse, a dog, a ram, a bear, a longhorn, and an eagle. Native American chief head on a stippled background on left side of gas shield with eagle on top of backstrap on a stippled background. Custom fume blued finish. 2 piece faux bone grips with Rampant Colt medallions on either side. CONDTION: Very good with almost all of the reapplied finish remaining. Engraving is sharp. Minor pitting and handling marks throughout. 2 piece grips are excellent plus with no signs of distress. Action works correctly when cycled by hand. Bore has some darkness in the grooves with sharp rifling. TON
