Lot consist of: (A) Savage Model 1915 semi automatic pistol. Made 1915. Improved internal hammer version over the 1907 with the addition of a grip safety and better sights. Standard patent dates on the top of the slide. "SAVAGE" marked on the left side of the frame. Blade front sight and raised U-notch rear. Original finish forming even wear/patina throughout. "SAVAGE/QUAILITY" marked checkered grips. Includes a not correct "380 CAL." marked magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish, with some wear and areas of scratches. Grips have a few handling marks. Bore is frosted, but retains very good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear. (B) Savage Model 1917 semi automatic pistol. Made early 1920s. Standard patent dates on the top of the slide. "SAVAGE 1917 MODEL" marked on the left side of the frame. Blade front sight with raised U-notch rear. Reapplied matte blued finish. Model 1917 style "SAVAGE QUALITY" plastic grips. Model 1907 magazine is incorrect for this gun, fitting tightly in the well. Magazine is unmarked. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its reapplied finish, with mostly edge wear present. There is some cleaned pitting on the top of the slide. Grips have a few minor handling marks and scratches. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has wear. JWA
