Lot consists of: (A) Smith & Wesson Model 1905 4th change double action revolver. Made circa 1920s. "S&W" monogram on the left side of the frame. Standard patent dates on the top of the barrel. Matching serials on the butt, barrel, and cylinder. Matching assembly numbers on the frame and crane. 5" round steel barrel with half moon sight and square notch rear sight. Factory nickel finish with patina and wear. Square butt. Wood grips with checkering. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% of its original finish with wear, patina, and scratches. Grips have a few handling marks and scratches. Bore has some frosting with some pitting near the muzzle. Hammer is tight. Cylinder has some side to side movement. Good timing. Mechanically fine. (B) Smith & Wesson Model 1905 4th change double action revolver. Made c. 1920's. "S&W" monogram is not present on the left side of the frame. Standard patent dates on the top of the barrel. Matching serials on the butt, barrel and cylinder. Matching assembly numbers on the frame and crane. 4" round steel barrel with half moon sight and square notch rear sight. Period renickel finish with patina and wear. Square butt. "S&W" monogram, wood grips with checkering. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its reapplied nickel finish with wear and scratches. Grips have a few handling marks and scratches with some light wear to the checkering. Bore has some frosting with good overall rifling retained. Hammer and cylinder are tight. Good timing.
