Lot consists of: (A) Smith & Wesson .32-20 Model 1905 4th change double action revolver. Made 1910s-20s. Small "S&W" monogram on the left side of the frame. Standard patent dates on the top of the barrel. Matching serials on the butt, barrel and cylinder. Matching assembly numbers on the frame and crane. 6" pinned barrel with blade front sight and U-notch rear. Front sight has been ground down to a flat stepped blade. Original finish forming a gray/brown patina in most areas. Square butt. Checkered wood grips with no monograms. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish forming a gray/brown patina in most areas. Grips have wear to the checkering, with dings, scratches and handling marks. There is a chip on the left panel; upper left hand corner. Frosted bore with some minor pitting. Fair overall rifling. Hammer is tight. Cylinder has some side to side movement. Good timing. Mechanically operable. (B) Smith & Wesson Model of 1902 double action revolver. Made 1902-1903. Standard patent date on the top of the barrel. Left side of the barrel is marked "38 S.&W. SPECIAL/& U.S. SERVICE CTG'S". Large "S&W" monogram on the right side of the frame. 5" round steel barrel with half moon front sight and U-notch rear. Original finish turned to a gray/brown patina in most areas. Round butt. Period replacement hard rubber grips with "S&W" monogram. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with most areas having gray/brown patina. Grips have a few scratches and handling marks. Bore is frosted with pitting throughout. Good overall rifling. Hammer and cylinder have some movement. Good timing. JWA
