Standard configuration P.08 manufactured by DWM for the German Military in 1915. Major metal components are rust blued, with smaller components being strawed and nitre blued. Receiver is marked "1915" over the chamber, with DWM arsenal proofs on the right-hand side. German imperial eagle is present on the right side of the receiver, the barrel, and the left side of the breechblock. All numbers are matching, including both magazines. Complete with a 1915 dated leather holster that appears to be maker marked for Kern, Klager on the rear panel. Interior flap is marked with what appears to be a more recently applied unit mark "9.Fd.A.R.", which would signify issue to the 9th Field Artillery Regiment. Additional magazine and unmarked loading tool are both present. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original rust blue finish, exhibiting some edge wear, areas of mild thinning, as well as some small areas of light oxidation. Strawed components show wear all around, as well as some areas of age-related discoloration. Mirror bore, with well-defined lands and grooves throughout. Checkered walnut grips, exhibit some smoothing, as well as a few scattered nicks and impressions to the diamonds. Primary magazine bears a crack on the wood bottom but is still easily legible. Leather holster exhibits some scattered wear and handling marks from use. Holster's maker's mark has been mostly rubbed away and is barely discernable. A fine example of a DWM manufactured P.08, issued by the German Military during the Great War. -MLW-
