Model 1920 Commercial Luger manufactured or reworked after the conclusion of World War I by DWM for commercial sales within and outside of Germany. Major metal components are rust blued, with smaller components being strawed and nitre blued. Chamber area is blank, with the left side of the receiver bearing a vertical crown over "N" commercial proof, which is also present on the bottom of the barrel. Toggle bears the DWM monogram. Safety is marked "GESICHERT" with the extractor being marked "GELADEN". Matching numbers include the frame, locking bolt, trigger, sideplate, barrel, and rear toggle link. Frame, breechblock, forward toggle link, grips, and magazine are unnumbered. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some minor areas of wear from use that show through to silvering. Strawed components show some wear but are otherwise fine. Mirror bore, with well-defined lands and grooves throughout. Checkered walnut grips show some light smoothing and a few minor nicks to the diamonds. A very attractive example of a DWM Model 1920 Commercial Luger. -MLW-
