1887 Vintage Winchester Model 1873 Deluxe Rifle, serial number 245337. Special ordered 24" half octagon to round barrel. Button length magazine tube. Chambered in .44-40 WCF. Standard barrel sights, Lyman tang mounted mid-range sight. Blue with case hardened frame, hammer, lever, and forearm cap. Special ordered flame grain, checkered, pistol grip stock, and forearm. Shotgun-style butt with steel buttplate. CONDITION: Fine overall. Frame has turned a nickel-color patina with traces of original case color. Lever, hammer, and forearm cap also a nickel patina with traces of case color. Barrel shows approximately 75% original blue blending with brown patina. Bore is excellent with minor abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. Wood is sound showing moderate wear with scattered light scraps and dings. Overall an attractive, special-ordered Winchester Model 1873. -MKS-
