26" dovetail lump barrels with tapered solid matte rib with steel front bead. Rear of rib with light scroll engraving and "SCOTT'S IMPROVED BOLT". Tubes engraved "W. & C. Scott & Son 7 S Shaftesbury Avenue: 'The Monte Carlo A'" and "London, England". Underside of tubes with matching serial numbers to receiver, and "Special Steel B" on both tubes. Barely visible "CH K" (Choke?) and "S" in front of barrel flats. Appropriate Birmingham proofs for 12 gauge nitro barrels with 1 - 1/8 oz of shot. Someone has put a crosshatch style polish over the hinge lump and the breech faces. Rib extension with hidden crossbolt. Splinter tip forearm with Anson style push-button release, cut with point pattern checkering and engraved with scroll at exterior iron, around release, and at escutcheon. Interior of forearm with some nice case coloring and matching number. Nine pin sidelock action engraved with tight scroll and "W & C. SCOTT & SON" at bottom of locks. Automatic safety. Bushed strikers with gas relief cuts. Action flats with serial number and W&C Scott rollmark with intercepting Tower logo, "MAKERS" section slightly double stamped. Appropriate British "(Crown) / BV" proof. Double triggers in a flat bottom profile trigger guard with more scroll. Locks case colored, trigger guard and tang blued. Prince of Wales with wave and point pattern checkering. Lightly fiddled and somewhat smokey grained stock with black line spacer and red waffle recoil pad. CONDITION: Barrels are very good, retaining much of their blue with some minor marks from use through, and some patina dotting, mostly around legend and along left tube, approximately 7" from muzzle. Forearm has split on inside, right side, that is still affixed and a few abrasions to heads. Exterior of iron has a few spots of oxidation and few flashes of case color at tips. Locks with plenty of case color and some losses, mostly at balance, likely from use in the field. Stock is good with some bumps and bruises from field use, with one area of rash on right side near toe and some more significant pings along toe line. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bores are very good with some evidence of use, ejectors are in time, barrels are tight on face. EW
