Stunning little game gun with monobloc 29" blued steel barrels and 3" chambers. This lively sideplated boxlock was built circa 2013, with ejectors, narrow tapered filed rib, and with round steel front bead sight. Right side of top barrel with gold inlay reading "GARDONE V.T. ITALY" and left side reading "GIULIO BERNADELLI" also in gold inlay. Bottom barrel stamped "Double Guns Nashville. TN" under forend. Breech end of top barrel with gold line inlay and border scroll on barrel wings. Bottom barrel stamped with appropriate Italian proofs, gauge and chamber length. Chokes are: Extra Full and Improved Modified. The petite and elegant, handsomely relief engraved boxlock action is engraved with medieval floral scroll and gold eye inlaid gargoyles. Bottom action is also engraved reading "GIULIO BERNADELLI". This exquisite engraving is carried out through the guns trigger guard, long bottom strap with serial number in gold, top lever with right-hand thumbpiece and slide safe with checkered thumb knob. Engraving by L. BERTELLA which is engraved on right side of trigger plate. Left side of trigger plate engraved "MADE IN ITALY". The non-auto safe action with "S" in gold is built on a single mechanical trigger. The guns deep honey-colored stock with fiddleback and smoky marbling is built with a finely sharp checkered English straight hand grip. Buttpad is a thin orange Silvers-style pad with black line space. The dainty matching splinter forend with Anson styled checkered push-button release has matching engraved iron metal, escutcheon, pin, and a shield with gold inlays of "GB" and a flying snipe. The gun lives in its canvas-covered maker's case with paper GIULO BERNADELLI trade label, nickel plated oil bottle, and a pair of nickel plated .410 snap caps. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 99% original blue with slight muzzle wear from case storage. Stock and forend excellent with minute handling marks. Action is tight, ejectors are timed and trigger is crisp.
