All engraved by "L. BERTELLA" which is on the right side of the trigger plate. "Made in Italy" on the left side of trigger plate. The top lever has matching engraving with a checkered thumbpiece. The non-auto safe action "S" in gold is a slide push mechanism with combined slide barrel selector. The single selective mechanical trigger is nicely protected by a fully engraved right hand rolled edged trigger guard which extends through a bottom strap bearing its serial number "0021". The handsome medium brown "Prince of Wales" semi-pistol gripped Turkish walnut stock with fine point checkering is fitted with an orange buttpad. A matching game forend has been built with an engraved Deeley snap release and the makers gold-lined crest with "GB" in gold and a golden woodcock. Forearm metal also with matching engraving. The gun is housed in a leather maker's case with paper trade label on inner lid, pair of nickel-plated snap caps, square nickel-plated oil bottle, three-piece rod, jag, brush, mop, chamber brush, and three turnscrews. The outer lid of the case is also fitted with a round brass initial plate. CONDITION: Fine. Barrels retain 95% original blue with some light surface wear. Bores are bright. Action is sound and tight on face with ejectors that are timed well. Stock and forend are both good with some light handling marks. Very nice and will make a lively game gun. CP
