A modern production of the classic and well known Mauser 98 bolt action. Front sight is on barrel band and is ramped with steel tipped front bead sight and silver express line rear sight. Mid barrel band with sling swivel. Barrel shank with Original Mauser logo laser etched, right side, just at the stock line, the German proofs for Ulm proofing in 2018. Both receiver rings are drilled and tapped for a scope mount, currently filled by filler screws. 3 position wing safety. Bolt shroud with "S" in white and "F" in red. Dark pistol grip stock of a smoky grained European walnut with sharp checkering at forearm and pistol grip. Belly of butt stock with sling swivel. Steel pistol grip cap with Mauser logo, forearm with dark wood tip. Beaded cheek piece. Metal parts are blacked. Bolt is in a polished steel in color. Floor plate and grip cap are blacked steel. Accompanied by a black hard travel case and rifle sock. Import marked for Mauser at ejection port. CONDITION: Excellent, as new, showing only a few very minor marks from handling and operation, likely shop wear, and most visible in the checkering where a few heads are abraded. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent. Case is good. CP
