Rare special order Winchester Model 64 deluxe rifle in .38-55 WCF made in 1941. According to consignor, under ten are known to exist in this caliber. Blued Winchester Proof Steel round rifled barrel with hooded ramp front sight and 22G rear adjustable sight with sharp proof marks. Blued action with plain trigger and factory 2/3 blued magazine tube. Blued nose cap with factory-style sling swivel mount. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with black Winchester logo grip cap and factory shotgun-style butt with checkered steel "Widow's Peak" buttplate. Walnut checkered beavertail forearm. Comes with original sling swivels and replacement original style leather sling. Hard caliber and configuration to find in this gun. Comes with copy of 1938 Winchester salesman's pamphlet showing that this was an available caliber. CONDITION: Gun has 85% fading blue with corners turning silver from honest use. Some small scratches and dings. Wood has 80% original finish with sharp checkering with some dings and marks from usage. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
