Built in 2009, this exquisite 29 – 1/2" blued steel demi-bloc barrel with rib extension and 2 - 3/4" chambers is fitted with ejectors and a tapered, cross-hatch matted rib with a brass round front bead sight. Top barrel left side near breech reads "FLLI BERTUZZI ITALY" in gold. Barrels are both stamped "15.9". Left side of bottom barrel also stamped "KG 1,310". Bottom of bottom barrel marked “SPORTING PRODUCTS, LLC FL USA”. Barrel flats with Italian proofs read "20-70" "6131" “ARMI BERTUZZI”. Breech ends of the barrels have border scroll. Chokes are Improved Modified and Improved Cylinder. The brushed coin-finished framed action is built on a back action sidelock with a single inertia trigger and non-auto safe with a stylized "S" in gold. The trigger is protected by a right hand rolled edged guard with long bottom strap. Bottom strap engraved with foliate scroll with gold accents and the serial number “6131” in gold. The coin finished action is engraved with game scenes supported by foliate scroll with gold accents by Dan Cortini of Creative Arts. The right lockplate is engraved with 3 grouse in flight in a field scene with the sky in gold. The left lockplate is engraved with 2 woodcock in flight also in a field scene with the sky in gold. Bottom of action body has a portrait of 2 dogs on a gold background. Right side of trigger plate is engraved in script “CREATIVE ART DAN CORTINI” Right action body wall is marked with Italian proofs and “ARMI BERTUZZI” while the left wall is marked with the guns serial number. Top lever and safety slide also with matching engraving and checkered thumbpiece. The deluxe grade European walnut stock has been adorned with tight fine line checkering on its English straight hand grip, drop points, and engraved steel skeleton plate on a checkered butt. The matching game forend is similarly engraved with foliate scroll and gold accents on its iron metal, Boss style wings, diamond and escutcheon. The number “31” is marked on interior of the forend metal. The underside of the forend is also adorned with a gold inlay of the Bertuzzi logo. The Anson-style push-button forend release is checkered. Gun lives in a Bertuzzi leather travel case with brass corners, "FLLI BERTUZZI" black and gold leather case label. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 99% original blue. Bores are shiny. Action is tight on face, ejectors are timed well and the trigger feels crisp to pull. Stock and forend with minor handling marks most likely from storage. Excellent game gun. CP
