Lot contain: (A) Imperial German artillery sword with a "Carl Eickhorn, Solingen" triple-etched blade unit marked "3. Pruess. Artl. Regt." on a seven inch panel, with the usual pattern of etching to include an artillery piece with limber. Blade has moderate to heavy scattered marks, dullness, and freckling. Wire-wrapped black trylon grip has light wear with several wire strands being loose. Nickel-plated steel fittings have moderate to heavy scattered marks, dullness, and freckling. Cross guard has the initials "EK" engraved on it. Steel scabbard retains approximately 85% of its blued finish with scattered marks , and freckling throughout. Throats screws have been replaced. CONDITION: Overall very good condition. (B) Third Reich SA dagger modified for NSKK service with a "E.P. & S. Solingen" marked blade, with scattered marks and freckling throughout. Blade has been heavily polished. Early solid nickel fittings have patina overall and are dull. The SA Gruppe marking of "Mi" (Mitte) is present on the cross guard. Rosewood grips exhibit light wear and both the SA emblem and eagle are original to the grip and appear to be undamaged. The anodized scabbard was prewar painted painted black with 75-80% of its paint remaining. It was a known practice for NSKK members to take their SA dagger and repaint the scabbards. The scabbard's nickel fittings have patina, scattered marks, and dullness throughout. The correct SA hangar is attached and is marked "A" for "Assmann" with "DRGM". CONDITION: Overall very good. WZ
