Lot consists of 2 sterling silver trays from Vietnam. Both trays exhibit engraved centers with oriental landscapes. The engravings display an oriental landscape with a bridge, pavilion, trees, and a pond. The rims are decorated with vignettes of peasants and buffalo in rice fields, villages, sailing vessels, and trees. All decorations on the rim are created by repousse work. The ring handles are attached to mounts that resemble a dragon. 1 handle on the first tray has come loose. The trays are marked "Vietnam 0.900" on the reverse and are accompanied by a previous auction listing that states they weigh 20.6 troy ozs. These trays were once part in the collection of renowned collector Dr. John K. Lattimer. CONDITION: The trays exhibit slight tarnishing, especially on the underside of the second tray.
