A)Unframed signed print of Theodore Roosevelt. Image 9" x 13 1/2". Overall 14 1/2" x 19 1/2". Copyright 1903 by Gravure Company of America. CONDITION: Good. Mat has considerable staining. The image is very lightly stained. B) Essay entitled "Roosevelt" by Alfred Henry Lewis. 14 3/4" x 19 1/4". The essay extols Roosevelt's virtues and claims "Over and above all, towered his indomitable honesty. He is a big man--big for the country, big for mankind. Whole peoples respect him, kings are jealous of his fame. Today, to that Fate which waits ever at the elbow of time, the nation may say: 'Bring on the Hour; here stands the Man!'". CONDITION: Fair.
