A German Third Reich TENO Honor Badge. TENO (Technische Nothilfe), was an emergency help service started in 1919 by Otto Lummitzsch to maintain and protect vital strategic services such as agriculture, water supply, and energy resources. The badge is constructed out of two pieces of die struck tombak that has received a bronze brennlack finish and an enameled TENO emblem. The TENO emblem consists of a red square backing and black mobile swastika, with a cog wheel that encircles a stylized “TN”. The emblem is crimped to the badge the reverse. The date of 1922 can be seen on the lowest point of the badge.The reverse of the features the typical hardware found on these TENO Honor badges, which consists of an elongated hinge, widened pin, and simple tombak "C" catch. The reverse of the enamel emblem is numbered "2155", and the makers mark can be found on the pin which reads "Karl Hensler, Pforzheim". CONDITION: EXCELLENT+ D.W.
