Third Reich Kriegsmarine dagger with a nicely double-etched "ORIGINAL EICKHORN" near mint nickel-plated blade, with very light scattered marks. Etching is classic Eickhorn (and WKC) with very light freckling present. Brass fittings retain 65-70% of their gilt finish, and white trylon brass wire wrapped grip has no visible damage. Nicely wrapped portepee with light wear is era attached. Brass scabbard retains less than 15% of its gilt finish, and is present in the recesses, tip, and near the bands. 2 1/4" very light dents are present. Kriegsmarine rayon dress belt with sword hangars are included. Metal hardware/fittings are either aluminum or brass, with 80-85% gilt finish present overall, and very light wear overall. An exceptional set of Kriegsmarine dagger with accoutrements. CONDITION: Overall excellent plus to near mint. WZ
