The steel Böker maker marked blade on this M33 SS dagger retains most of its beautiful factory cross-graining along the length of the blade. The blade exhibits an even freckling throughout and consistent runner marks from the scabbard. The solid nickel silver cross guards have developed an appealing even patina that only time can produce. The reverse of the lower cross-guard is stamped with the SS district stamp of "I" for Munich. The black ebony grip has a light patina throughout with an expertly inlaid nickel silver eagle and enamel SS roundel. A few scattered light marks can be seen on the grip. The pommel nut appears untouched. The black anodized scabbard retains most of its factory anodizing and light protective lacquering. The scabbards fittings are also made of solid nickel silver and match the aged patina of the daggers cross-guards beautifully. The scabbards sitting screws appear untouched. A correct and original RZM SS black leather horizontal scabbard is affixed to the daggers scabbard. A beautifully preserved and presumably untouched early M33 SS Dagger. CONDITION: Excellent. D.W.
