The nickel plated blade of this RAD Enlisted Hewer is maker marked for the firm of Carl Eickhorn, and features the RAD motto "Arbeit Adelt" which translates to "Work Enobles". The blade remains bright and with minimal areas of very light freckling. The nickel plated hand guard remains bright with its factory burnished recesses still intact. A unit marking is stamped on the reverse area of the guard, which matches unit marking on the scabbards throat. The scabbard body retains most of its factory black paint, with an area of light marks on the edge of the scabbard exposing the bare steel body underneath. The scabbards fittings retain almost all of their original factory finish with burnished recesses. The throat of the scabbard is unit marked to match the marking on the daggers guard.
