This steel blade of this M33 SS Dagger is maker marked with the logo of the firm "Böker, Solingen". The blade retains most of its original factory cross-graining which can be seen along most of the blades length. The blade features the acid etched SS motto "Meine Ehre Heißt Treue", which translates to "My Honor is Loyalty". The blade has a couple small areas of freckling as well as a few scattered marks along the blades edge. The blades motto appears to have been touched up with a darkening substance at a later time. The solid nickel silver upper and lower cross-guards have developed a beautiful even patina. The lower cross-guard features the Roman Numeral "I" for the Munich district. The black ebony grip is expertly inlaid with a nickel silver eagle and enamel SS roundel. The grip exhibits light marks, predominately on the reverse side. The black painted scabbard features a nickel silver scabbard throat and drag. The scabbards fittings match the patina of the daggers guards, however it should be noted that most of these early SS daggers were originally assembled with anodized scabbards, not painted scabbards. A small blemish to the paint of the scabbards reverse side has been touched up with black paint. An original standard black RZM dagger hanger completes the dagger. CONDITION: Very good to excellent.
